At Sea Angling Shop we work to send out products as quickly as possible and always try to keep postage and packaging costs as low as we can. Our standard delivery time is three to six days, although in some cases it may take slightly longer for orders to arrive (i.e. if rigs have been bought, as these are made to order). Small items and packages are send via First Class Royal Mail, whereas for larger packages we use one of the UK’s leading courier companies. Please not that higher value orders and items are always sent via courier, as are fishing rods. Generally we use the following methods of delivery.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
The vast majority of our orders are sent out within 24 to 48 hours of being placed. The table above shows the usual amount of time it takes for products ordered from us to arrive, but the majority arrive within six days of being ordered. However, if our Ready Made Rigs have been ordered it may take slightly longer for these to arrive as they are always made to order. Also, deliveries to the Scottish highlands and islands or to Northern Ireland may take extra time due to the longer distances involved in reaching these locations. Please note that we do not currently offer a fast track or next day delivery option for orders so please leave plenty of time for the order to arrive if the products are needed for a specific fishing trip.
How much will postage cost for my order?
We work out postage costs depending on exactly what is ordered. This allows us to keep postage and packaging costs as low as possible. All postage prices are clearly displayed at the check out screen and can be reviewed prior to placing orders. Unlike some companies we do not charge a single flat rate fee which means that people who make small orders pay disproportionally high postage costs, nor do we claim “free postage” and then make the money back through higher prices for our products. Please note that if you place two orders within a very short amount of time we may bundle them together and send them as a single order.
How are orders selected and packaged?
We take great care to pick orders correctly to ensure that you get exactly what you have ordered. In the unlikely event of an item being unavailable once you have ordered it will always contact customers and offer a refund or alternative product prior to sending the order out. We also photograph all orders prior to sending, allowing us to track and record exactly what is sent out. We use high quality packaging materials to ensure that all products have ample protection as they are sent to you. Small and medium-sized items such as reels and orders of terminal tackle are packed in cardboard postage boxed which are filled with polystyrene chippings, bubble wrap and air cushions to protect the items during transit. Fishing rods are sent in solid plastic tubes to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
Will I have to sign for my order when it arrives?
This depends on the size of the order. Small items sent through Royal Mail or via a courier will not need to be signed for, but larger and higher value orders will require a signature on delivery. We always ensure that the products we sent out are in 100% top condition when they leave us, so if boxes and packaging are damaged when they arrive please either get written confirmation from the courier company staff that the items were damaged when they were delivered or do not sign for them. What happens if I have a problem with my order/delivery?
In the unlikely event that there is a delay or problem in processing or sending out your order we will always contact you to inform you of this. While the vast majority of products we send out by both Royal Mail and courier services arrive in a timely manner there are occasionally problems which are outside of our control – please contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org if you do encounter any problems with your order, but please bear in mind that Royal Mail require that 15 working days to pass from the expected delivery date before they consider an item to be lost/missing. International deliveries and areas we do not send to
We a UK based business and ship items to all locations across mainland Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We do not send products to BFPO locations or PO Boxes (even if they are in the United Kingdom).
As a UK business we generally only send products within the United Kingdom. However, we may be able to send products to a some locations outside of the UK – please see this page on international deliveries for further details.
